Each charity goes through a rigorous vetting process to ensure their authenticity and credibility. Rest assured, your donations will directly support the cause you choose, translating into meaningful impact in the honor of your loved one.

Yes. All Indian citizens who share their PAN card details will be eligible for tax exemption on their donations.

As a free platform, Remembering You operates within a constrained budget, and storing each photo comes with its costs. However, we will keep you informed about any plans for a premium version in the future, which could include extra features such as addition of more photos.

As Remembering You is entirely bootstrapped, we bear the technical expenses of servers and platform maintenance, as well as the expense of selecting credible charities, ensuring compliance, and establishing meaningful partnerships with them. To cover these essential costs, a very modest 6% of all donations goes towards our operations. Additionally, a 2.9% payment gateway charge is applied on every donation, which is a third-party expense.

Absolutely. You can disable the memorial website at any time. Memories are precious and the process of grieving is complex, and at Remembering You, we respect your decision to honor your loved one in your own way and own time. You can also enable a disabled memorial website at any time.

If those who are donating have consented to sharing their information publicly, then yes, you will have access to details of their donation. However, those who choose to donate anonymously will remain anonymous to you. Even if we collect their data for compliance purposes, we respect their privacy and cannot disclose their information.

At this time, we can only support donations to the charities we are currently partnered with. However, we are consistently committed to expanding our network of charitable organizations. If there is a charity close to your heart that you would like to see included on the Remembering You platform, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We understand that some condolence messages may lack sensitivity or not align with the legacy you wish to honor for your loved one. As the creator of the memorial website, you can 'hide' any such message, so it is no longer visible on the website. Your loved one's memory deserves to be surrounded by messages of love and respect, and we're here to support you in preserving that sacred space.

We want to assure you that every donation you make at Remembering You contributes to meaningful and positive change, so any amount you choose to contribute is deeply valuable. Refunds are generally discouraged and eligible only in case of errors during payment processing. For e.g. multiple times debiting of donor’s card/bank account due to some technical error or donor’s account being debited with excess amount in a single transaction due to some technical error. In such cases, the excess amount excluding payment gateway charges would be refunded to the donor’s original source account from which the payment was initiated. To ensure user privacy and data accuracy, we will require the donor to make an application for refund within 7 days of the transaction - via email to admin@rememberingyou.in - along with the transaction number and other transaction details if any generated at the time of making payments. Apart from the above, we will unfortunately be unable to provide any cancellations and refunds, as mandated by legal obligations.

Since Remembering You is a free, openly-accessible platform, we cannot often control and vigilantly monitor the creation of fraudulent and deceptive memorial websites. However, we are committed to offering 24x7 support to ensure such websites do not remain on the platform and are swiftly taken down. If you spot fraudulent websites or information on Remembering You, write to us at support@rememberingyou.com with the subject line “Report Memorial for Fraud”, and we will take immediate action.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide individual reports, as we work with multiple charities and manage numerous memorials. However, to ensure your donation is used meaningfully and in line with the cause selected in memory of your loved one, we carefully vet and partner only with trusted, transparent organizations.

C3India is an organization I personally work with, which allows me to closely oversee and guarantee that every donation is used meaningfully and in line with the memorial you create.

As we grow and build more capacity, we plan to onboard additional trusted charities to offer a wider range of causes for you to support in memory of your loved ones.

No. Your entire donation goes directly to the charity you choose. Remembering You does not receive any money from donors. To cover basic platform costs, we charge a 6% administrative fee to the charity — not to you.

Our goal is not to make profit, but to create a meaningful space to honour memories and support causes that matter.
